Hardware & screens

Cracked and dim laptop screens, dead batteries, failing SSDs and hard drives, faulty RAM, power jacks and keyboards. Genuine or quality-matched parts, fitted and tested.

Won't turn on or won't boot

No power, no display, stuck on the logo, boot loops or 'no bootable device'. We isolate whether it's power, storage, memory or the operating system before spending a cent on parts.

Setup & upgrades

New PC or Mac set up and your data moved across, an SSD or memory upgrade to make an old machine fly, Windows reinstalls, printers, Wi-Fi, email and everything talking to each other again.

Won't stay online

Wi-Fi that drops, no internet after an update, or a machine that connects but nothing loads. We sort the device — and if it's the connection itself, we're the same team that runs your NBN and network.

Common problems we see

“It's gotten really slow.”

Usually an ageing hard drive on its way out, not enough memory, or start-up bloat. An SSD upgrade is often the single biggest speed win.

“Pop-ups everywhere / a scary warning.”

Adware, a browser hijack or a scam page. We remove it, reset the browser and lock down the settings that let it back in.

“It won't turn on.”

Could be the charger, the battery, the power board or storage. We test each in turn instead of guessing at parts.

“The screen is cracked or black.”

A panel, cable or backlight issue — often a fixed-price screen replacement that saves buying a whole new laptop.

“I think I've lost my files.”

Stop using the machine and bring it in. The sooner a failing drive is imaged, the more we can usually recover.

“It keeps crashing or restarting.”

Overheating, dodgy RAM, a failing drive or a bad driver. We read the logs and stress-test to find the real culprit.

    We do the repair, upgrade or clean-up and test it properly. If a machine isn't worth fixing, we'll say so and help you choose a sensible replacement instead of selling you a dead-end repair.

For software glitches, settings, email and slow-computer clean-ups, we can often connect securely and fix it the same day without you leaving the house — the fastest and cheapest option when the hardware is fine.
